Sunday, August 24, 2003 ( 12:32 AM ) MB Music's dinosaurs live on in Hall of Shame (via Fark) has a list of the 50 worst bands. Some I agree with, some I've never heard of, but ELP? Emerson, Lake and Palmer not only made the list but are #2. Permalink ( 12:16 AM ) MB Tonight we were watching Brian's Song. It brought up a discussion of how race relations were different in the 1960s. Our kids couldn't understand why a black player rooming with a white player was a big deal. Sometimes not being able to understand something is a good thing. My seven-year-old daughter asked me if I was a white girl or a black girl when I was little. Okay, she looses points for her understanding of science and heredity but more than makes up for it in her belief that we are all really the same. Permalink |
