Saturday, April 12, 2003 ( 10:10 PM ) MB I don't want to imply that I don't trust the reporting of the New York Times (we all know they aren't biased, right?) but in this article that talks about the looting of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad it mentions that, "The museum had been closed during much of the 1990's (sic), and as with many Iraqi institutions, its operations were cloaked in secrecy under Mr. Hussein." I wouldn't be surprised if much of the looting was done long before yesterday. Seems more likely to me that Hussein took items for his own pleasure or sold them to private collectors than it is for me to believe that the looters managed to get through the "vaults with huge steel doors guarding storage chambers". Permalink ( 8:38 PM ) MB CNN A lie of omission is still a lie. At what point does remaining silent about what you know make you a co-conspirator? For everyone else, don't try this at home. The police get testy if they find out you knew about a crime and didn't report it. It must be easier for a large corporation to avoid moral responsibility...or even worse, convince themselves they are heroes for not reporting it. Permalink ( 7:13 PM ) MB According to this site, I will die on December 23, 2049. I don't have a problem with the year, it would mean a longer than average life...but two days before Christmas???? It also says I'm most likely to die in a nursing home (43.10%) of heart disease (38.20%). Permalink ( 1:49 AM ) MB Checking my logs I found this site that links to my recipe site. I was able to read it with this excellent online translator. Permalink Friday, April 11, 2003 ( 10:48 PM ) MB Make you own personal Web portal.
